As part of the Young Professional Meeting program series, two recent graduates, Vivien Pacskó and András Cégény talked about their professional life after university and where they are now.
During her presentation, Vivien Pacskó presented her professional career since her university years and how she became a remote sensing expert at the Lechner Knowledge Centre. The audience was able to find out exactly what her job entails and what professional challenges it held.
András Cégény is a seismic processing geophysicist at Pannon Imaging Ltd. and Terra-Byte Ltd. who gave a detailed account of the various job search and career start difficulties a newly qualified geophysicist may face, and gave the audience tips on how to avoid them. Andras also gave a detailed presentation on his work, modern seismic processing tools and the future of seismic processing. He also touched on algorithm development and machine learning.
The presentations were held online due to the pandemic, but the event was still attended by nearly 15 students.
