Report about autumn conferences

The three PhD. students of our organization, Dániel Kalmár, Tamás Lukács, and Márk Szijártó gave brief reports on their autumn conference experiences:

Dániel Kalmár has attended the Society of Exploration Geophysicists 2018 International Exposition and 88th Annual Meeting and Student Leadership Symposium in Anaheim, California. The Symposium was featured robust, cutting-edge education programming including 151 Technical Program sessions with more than 1,080 presentations, 13 Continuing Education courses, 3 Near-Surface Geophysics Technical Section Panel Discussions, and 22 Post-convention Workshops. These events were organized between the 13th and 18th of October. The student's travel and attendance were financially supported by Chevron and SEG.

Tamás Lukács has participated in the 7th International Workshop on Magnetic Resonance. It was held at Jilin University in Changchun, Jilin, China between the 18th and 20th of September, 2018. There were more than 100+ participants and over 30 presentations and posters about various applications of surface and borehole NMR to geotechnical, hydrogeological, and theoretical problems.

Márk Szijártó had a chance to take part in the 7th International Conference of Young Scientists and Students. This conference was organized in Baku between the 15th and 18th of October by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science and the Institute of Geology and Geophysics. The main promoters of this event were British Petroleum, Total, and SOCAR (State of Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic). This year, almost 100 participants took part in this conference, where Márk had a presentation about his PhD topic in the plenary session. Here is a short report about the conference. The attendance was supported by the organizers and the Talent Support Council of Eötvös Loránd University.
