On March 30, 2022, an online icebreaker meeting of the Eötvös Student Chapter with the SEG Student Chapter of the Russian Industrial University of Tyumen was held. At this cultural event, three topics were covered. Participants were able to get to know the city of Tyumen, the university of the Russian students, and their geophysics training. The Eötvös Student Chapter also introduced Budapest, the Eötvös Loránd University, and the geophysics training in this institution. The presentations were followed by an informal, pleasant conversation. In this section, we gained an insight into the everyday lives of the students. The differences and the similarities between the two universities’ geophysics training were also discussed.

In total, 17 students attended the event from the two Student Chapters.

This event was the first stop in a hopefully long-term collaboration between the two Chapters.
